Dear experts

we want to maintain Reorder point for our Dyes & chemicals in particular leaving other material codes,How to do this.I wanted to know how to Create user exit key in MD01 transaction & how to make use of it.

Dear,

You can run MRP as a normal MRP run using MD01/MD02 or as a Back ground job using MDBT.MRP run will plan for all the materials based on the planning type(MRP) type assigned to the material.So, Material having the ROP also will be considered in MRP run.If stock is below ROP level, MRP run will create requirements.

And you can use the user exust MM61X001 for prticular material type, MRP controller for MRP run.

Enhancement : M61X0001 (User exits PP-MRP materials planning)

Hi,

Other colleagues have helped to answer about report order point planning and how it works with MRP.

For your other question regarding How to create a User Exit key?? use the following path to create one.

spro --> Production --> MRP -->Planning --> "user-exit: Material Selection for Plannig Run". Here you can create your own userexit key and then use it within your user-exit code.

HI,

you can maintain ROP for the said materials in the Material Master itself by maintaining MRP type as VB, and by giving the ROP quantity.

During your MRP run, incase of stock going below ROP, Planned order will be generated.

Hi,

To set reorder point planning, maintain MRP type VB in material master. System will ask for reorder point as a mandatory. Say 50.

When MRP run, system will check the stock for this material. If it is below reorder value, system will create planning proposal depends on lot size what you have maintained in material master. We cann run MRP by tcode MD01 for all materials. So which material having stock below reorder point, system will ganerate P.R for all those materials.

Lot size HB, FX can use for reorder point planning.
