NO Planned order to satisfy the SO requirement after PLANT MRP RUN

Former Member

Hi PP gurus,

I have two Finished Goods under a same plant, both of them have the strategy 40 (planning with final assembly). Both have ZERO stock. Two SALES ORDERS are created for both Materials. However when i run MRP per PLANT. Only the FIRST Finished Good have PLANNED ORDERS created, the second one does not.

What could be the setup that i miss that could cause. We want to have planned orders created if Sales orders have been created and the materials has zero stock.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me.

Thank you,

Heinrick Palad

Hi,

While run MRP by tcode MD50 enter sale order No & item 20, if you have two items in sale order. Then only system will plan for 2nd item.

Dear,

For getting one planned orde for the two sales orders on the same day, it is because of this

Strategy group 40 & availability chk field in MRP3 view as "01" dailly reqmt.

But surely the availability chk "01' definitely works for sales order also,

Are you using period lot size like TB?

Please check your planned order quantiry.

Hi Sir,

I am using lot size key EX. When i run MRP per MATERIAL, planned orders are created but when i run it per PLANT. No planned orders are created.

Dear,

Check the planning file entry for that material

If planning file entry is missing then MRP will not be triggered in MD01

It is working in MD02 because here you make the system to run for that specific material

Pls check & revert

Tcodes for planinng file entry

MD20- Create planning file entry

MD21- Display planning file entry

MDAB- Set up planning file entry in background

MDRE -Check planning file entry.

Then

You must need to specify the required palnt in the

scope of planning.

Define Scope of Planning for Total Planning in 'OM0E'.

1. Choose New entries.

2. Enter a key and a description for the scope of planning that you would like to define. Save your entries.

3. Select the scope of planning and choose Sequence of plants/MRP areas.

4. Choose new entries and enter the plants

5. Save your entries.

If you want to plan through MD01 then pls remove/Delete earlier planing proposels for this material then run MD01.

Please try with this and come back

Dear,

Go to OMDU and check plant is active for MRP

Do the planning file entry and -Check planning file entry.

For MD01 this is must Define Scope of Planning for Total Planning in 'OM0E'.

1. Choose New entries.

2. Enter a key and a description for the scope of planning that you would like to define. Save your entries for your plant.

Hope clear to you.

Hi Sir,

In the standard system, do really have to create a PLANNING file entry for ALL the MATERIALS (FERT, HALB, ROH, VERP). Isnt all the materials automatically included in the planning file if the MATERIAL MASTER of the MATERIAL has MRP DATA?.

Thank you,

Dear,

For the first time (just before Go-live), it is advisable to create the Planning file entries mnually and execute the MRP.. This is to reduce the inconsistencies..

But, system will automatically Creates the Planning File entry, if the Material is relevnt for planning.

First time MRP Run with NEUPL will not consider the planning file entries..

So, after that every thing will be stream lined.

In rare cases systm may miss the entering the Material details in the Planning file..

Hope clear your all doubt.
