hi Mohan

when u create Po with reference to Contract it is known as contract release order

U can create value or Qty. contract then use same for creatining PO

there are several ways to create contract release order like

Go to ME33K contractfollow on functioncontract release order

or u can give ref. of contract in PO also

Contract release order.

You can create a contact with a vendor for a specific period.

That contract can be 'Value' or "Quantity' based.

You can release Scheduling agreement with reference to contract.

You can make your contract doc...you can make your contract as value contract or qty contract....

If you make your contract source relevent in source list then ...you could also generate your PO ie. contract release order through MRP....

To make the contract manually follow the link:

Sap easy access --> Logistics genral --> Purchasing ---> Outline agreement --> Contract maintain

If you are crating a PO with a delivery schedule line against a contract, it will be a release order against that contract.
