Workflow - User Decision - User Comments

Hi Experts,

While implementing Workflows in SAP, we have a requirement.

when the user gets a user-decision in his mail box to approve/reject an issue , he needs to enter comments as to why he is rejecting/approving a decision.

what i am looking for is the functunality in user-decision step type that enables the user to enter comments.

any pointers to this would prove really helpful.

Hi,

The comments can be send as an attachment.

These comments will be sent back to the workflow container in the attachobjects container element .

If you want further steps of the workflow to see the comments, pass the attachobjects container element from the workflow to the task container .

The comments will then be available as a link in the next level

thanx for the answer but it is of no help.

in the work item i need a text box or some pop-up element where the user can enter comments.

no attachments..

and the comments entered in the text box should b carried forward for next level approval.

Hi kanika,

This functionality is available in the Business Workplace. The workitem in the inbox has an option of creating an attachment (several options exist for e.g. word doc) where the approver can enter his comments. This is forwarded to the next step automatically.
