Classify a task as General

Hi Experts,

i have created a task and then I am trying to Classify that task as general in Development server.

It is not asking for a transport request and while transporting the task. this classification is not transported to Quality system.

Please suggest what needs to be done, to transport the classification of task as general.

hi,

you will have to set the task as general in Quality system separately.

Request transport for WF will only transport the WF design. Activation of Event Linkage and Possible Agent assignment needs to be done manually in each client as well as in QA and Prod systems.

I don't have access to classify the task as general in ECP.

and also I don't want to open the Production system and make these changes.

Appreciate if someone suggest the best practice for classifying the task as general.

You can change the setting of Transaction Code OOCR by making the relevant flag for General Task as Blank.

the Value abbr field should maintained as blank(no value)

hi,

you need not open the production server for agent assignment.

alternatively, you can refer to the link mentioned by arghadip.

arghadip, what setting do we need to do in OOCR transaction?

instead of doing each and every setting seperatley in different clients

i would suggest u rather to deal with every setting of workflow in partifcular client once and for all,

so if you do not have any right then ask your basis person to sit with you and go to

T code SWU3

and there y0u maintain every setting for the workflow ,then you wont be having all those probs

probs like

task not general etc. can be dealt with there itself

moreover you will not be having any sdditional probs after you maintain those settings,

and mind you those settings are made seperately for each client

hi,

ashish, can you tell which setting in SWU3 will help to achieve the solution of general task? i am not aware about that setting?

hi

within SWU3 there are 5 options

withi the first option as you go inside you will see that

there are settings for making the task as general

the standard practice is to make all the tasks general is through that setting
