Removing the extra 'Type' field while creating a folder in KM Content

Hello,

When I try to create a new folder in the KM Content, it asks for 3 parameters - Name, Type, Description. I don't want the folder creation template showing the field 'Type'. Is there some setting that I need to set to prevent this field being asked every time I create a folder?

Please let me know where this change can be done?

Check ur Content Management->Global Services->Property Structures.

and also have defined any custom Resource Types?

Check this in Content Management->Global Services->Resource Types

The Property Structure may contain a Resource Type.

Hi BP,

In the Property Structure, I found quite a lot of custom entries. I found some custom entries in the Resource Types as well.

Can you tell me which one I would need to change?

Ajay,

Check how many resource types are not "Reserved for Application".

And check those names coming in the Property Structure.

If u find a Prop Structure of that sort then remove the Type and give a try

Hi BP,

The requirement is to remove the complete dropdown "Type" in the new folder creation, so that the user creating the folder only sees Name and Description fields.

Ya,

i could get that.

Did u see any Resource Type thats been added to any property structure?

If so remove the type and try uploading a folder/document and check the type is coming.
