Failed to open Crystal Report in BO XI 3.0 using URL reporting

Hi Friends,

I am trying to open a crystal report in BO XI 3.0 using URL reporting. The URL I am trying is :

http://xyz-crystal.xserver.com:8080/CrystalReports/viewrpt.cwr?id=29631&init=actx:connect&apsuser=us...

But it is showing an error: "An internal error occurred. Please contact your system administrator. [RASLIB9032] ".

Is there anything changed for the URL reporting in XI 3.0? Any suggestions?

Please help.

Regards,

Tanveer.

I'm not sure if that's the right URL in 3.0 Try OpenDocument instead.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for your reply. But How can I pass login information in the openDocument command? There is no apsuser/apspassword parameter for the opendocument. I want to open the report independently by clicking the link.

Can you please give me the sample URL which contains the opedocument with user/password information for XI 3.0?

Tanveer.

Try something like this. I am working in R2 at present - as I understand it R3 does not yet support IIS as the web server - does anyone know when it will?

formula = "<_a_href='http://MyCrystalServer/businessobjects/enterprise115/infoview/scripts/opendocument.aspx?"

formula = formula + "sType=rpt&NAII=Y&iDocID=123456"

formula = formula + "&sInstance=Param"

formula = formula + "&lsSparamYead="+{vwMyView.MyField1}

formula = formula + "&lsSparamSite="+{MyView.MyField2}

formula = formula + "'><_u_>Link Description</_u_></_a_>"

(Remove the underscore from HTML and change the DocID, server, fields etc).

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Geoff.
