SAPGui 7.10 and Office 2007

Hi ,

I have SAP Gui 7.10 patch 9 and Office 2007 SP1 installed. When using GR55 with Office Integration turned on Excel exhibits some strange behaviour. The initial layout of the excel sheet looks fine but if you minimise SAP then maximise it again the whole Excel menu disappears, ie there is no ribbon and no tabs, nothing, only rows and columns.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Office and SAPGui but the problem still exists. Has anyone else come across this before, do you know of any fixes?

unfortunately, this is an old issue and it hasn't been solved yet. The problem is related to Office 2007 and it turns up in other applications with excel integration, not just SAP. Check out this thread

you can directly apply hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958133/ which will solve the all the issue

Me working in Office Integration area. Here root cause of the issue is in Microsoft area. They fixed this issue. Please refer Microsoft KB article

and apply hotfix. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/954893/en.

This should solve the issue which you are facing.

Please refer note 1258891 for more information to see consequences of this hotfix and this also will be fixed from Microsoft side.
