Dear Deepu,

First creating a Planning scenario in MS31 for individual Plant, after that in T code - OPU5 - Scheduling

parameters -Planned orders for LTP,Here itself you maintain the planning scernario for individual plant.

Generally LTP is carried for selected Finished products, that too in the Financial year begining, for

budgeting purpose. There are companies who use this LTP as pre planning tool for production.

Say they check the capacity availability for next 3 months, materials requirements etc.

Per hour activity rate can also be derived using this LTP.

After carrying out LTP run,we will get simluate planned orders, which cannot be processed for further

actions like converting into production.Purchase order.

Check the sequence,

1.Demand will be given in MD61 for the products for which you are planning to carryout LTP in non active

version, that's other than 00 and also remove tick mark against the check box for active in MD61 screen.

2.Assign the plant and Planned independent Requirements in MS32 along with the same date range as

mentioned in MD61.

3.Planning file entries in MS20 and display it in MS21.

4.Carryout LTP run in MS02 and the simulated planned orders can be checked in MS04.

5.capacity requirements for LTP can be viewed in CM38.

6.Transfer of planned activities to production can be done in KSPP.

Also check these links of the threads regarding LTP,

I hope to some extent this will help you.

Dear,

Please go through the link

Basically LTP is simulative MRP to simulate and see all the results like production capacity plan/ raw material plan/ profit margin. here we are using the same master data like material master, recipe, BOM etc.

In MS31 - you create a LTP version where you can mention the PIR version where you enter the planning data in MD61.

Release this version and maintain the planning data like qty per period in MD61 with the version mentioned in MS31, make sure that the version is not active so that LTP consider this inactive qty data.

Run MS01/MS02/MS03 etc to run simulative MRP.

Results can be seen in MS04/MS05.

Inn MSF0 you can see the capacity requirement and adjust the qty to se that 100% capacity is utilized.

We can see the raw material requirement in Pur info system in MCEC/MCEA/MCEB/MCB&/MCB)

Capacity situation in CM38.

You can transfer the activity data to cost center through KSPP, which will give the activity cost simulation.
