Where can I find a report that details the data that has been transmitted to/from XI? We need to know the amount of data (byte-wise) that is passing through our XI system as SAP plans to bill us according to the data usage. Where would they get this information?
2 options r given here :
1. Runtime workbench performance monitoring is the best way to see.
Download XML file will not give you the right size since you woudnt want the XML tags to be included in the size.
To see performance related data from RWB you would need to enable certain parameters and schedule few jobs.
Check this link on how to do the same.

2.You can also check the size of message in MONI itself.
Go to SXMB_MONI>Inbound Message or Receiver Grouping>SOAP Header>Runtime>
the u can see tags like
SAP:MessageSizePayload>437</SAP:MessageSizePayload> //this is the size of your payload
<SAP:MessageSizeTotal>2275</SAP:MessageSizeTotal>
<SAP:PayloadSizeRequest>437</SAP:PayloadSizeRequest>
<SAP:PayloadSizeRequestMap>0</SAP:PayloadSizeRequestMap>
<SAP:PayloadSizeResponse>0</SAP:PayloadSizeResponse>
<SAP:PayloadSizeResponseMap>0</SAP:PayloadSizeResponseMap>

Message Size monitoring can be done in NW2004 by Runtime workbench even. Please go thru the guide :
