Hi Prasad,

Right click on the Characteristic, select restrict and in the select values pick Hierarchy select hierarchy that you need from the drop down box. By default in the Hierarchy drop down the Flat list is displayed.

Hope this helped.

Here is a kind of wierd way to do it .....

Create a restricted kyf on the GL Account and Company code you want to exclude -- make it hidden.

Hide your original key figure that includes everything.

In a new Calculated KYF, subtract your RKYF from your original.

You cannot say <> to your GL_Account and <> to your Company Code because it will restrict out that GL Account and Company Code everywhere.

I know it's kinda kludgey, but it should work for you.

Hi Brain,

But this specify to the KF. Based on what I understand Prasad want it at the query level and not at KF level.

Prasad - Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Prasad,

Thanks for the point. Guess was not paying attention to our query.

Try creating a new structure and new selection, in one selection the pick the company code that u need to restrict to along with the GL account and the second selection pick all the GL account.

Not sure if this will work!

But nothing wrong in trying.
