Messages not listed under ServiceDesk after change profiles!

We have SM 4.0 and The ServiceDesk Scenario configured.

Now we have try to test the functionality of our scenario.

1) At first we remove the profile SAP_ALL from the users who are BPs in ServiceDesk scenario.

2) Then we take the standard SAP SupportDesk roles (f.e. SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS or SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN or SAP_SUPPDESK_Create) and set these roles to the users.

3) After that the users run the Monitor for ServiceDesk messages (S_SMC_47000017 - all open support notifications). They can not found any mesages in the Monitor. But we are sure that the messages exist! When we check by SU53 all authorisations are ok.

4) Well. We give back SAP_ALL to the users. They still can not found any mesages in the Monitor.

But other user who have not been changed profiles can see all messages in the Monitor.

What' the matter? Take any advice please.

Hi,

The same scenario we are facing here. We are working with SAP on this. However, I have work around for this kind of situation, which I can use successfully with SAP_ALL. Go to that user for which you have removed and added SAP_ALL. Add SAP_BW_Developer role along with other two SAP Prescribed roles. [Now don't ask me why we have to do this. We are working with SAP for the same].

Go to SAP_BW_Developer role in pfcg, click on users tab and click on text comparison. Now, login and check whether you can see all the messages or not.

Hope it helps.

Cheers,

Satish.

Hi Igor,

Try this one, create a customized role copied from the standard roles and generate the profiles correctly. SAP Standard roles are usually not yet generated that's why it is sometimes not working properly. Be sure that the authorization is in green symbol.

You can copy the standard roles and rename these like the roles below.

Z_SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN

Z_SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE

Z_SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY

Z_SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS

Assign the above role to user, considering their functions as a service desk user.

After assignment, adjust the user assignment via "user compare". You can perform this via PFCG > User comparison or transaction code PFUD. It is important that you perform the user comparison so that the role assignment will be updated.

Rward pnts if helpful.

Thank you,

Ice
