Arabic text prints in reverse when spool is directed to the printer

Hello,

We are implementing SAP ECC 6.0, on IBM iSeries / System i, i5/OS V5R4

SAP kernel release 7.00, kernel patch number 173

We have the following problem when printing a spool generated from a native SAP transaction (e.g. FB03), and containing Arabic text (Arabic is a RTL language) :

When the spool containing Arabic text is displayed, the Arabic text is OK.

But when the spool is directed to the printer, the Arabic text is reversed; e.g. if the Arabic field should be printed as 'ABCDEF', the following is printed :'FEDCBA'

The amazing thing is that the problem occurs on the SAP Production system, and does not occur on the SAP Development system, despite the fact that the two systems have the same level of OS/400 PTFs, and the same level of SAP patches & support packages.

Any clues would be highly appreciated.

This is just to inform that the problem has been solved by implementing SAP note 587150, point number 4 : ABAP list printing

( Entry to be added in table TCP0I through transaction SE16.)
