We are receiving run-time error 1004 when we export to Excel. The text is Method "Open Text" of object "Workbooks" Failed. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?
Open Excel and Tools -> Option -> Security -> Macro Security Tab and select 'Trushted Publishers tab'.
Now check the boxes 'Trust all installed add-ins and templates ' and 'Trust Access to VisualBasic Projects'
This should solve the problem
If not, along with this, change macro setting from Hight to Low.

Dear,
Could you please try to decrease the security level to medium or low? For that, go to Tool> Macro> Security.

Dear,
To remedy this problem you should deselect the following :
"Ignore Other Applications" and "Protection from Macro Viruses" options in the Excel program.
For Microsoft Office 2000 in order to de-select the tick-box "Ignore Other Application" :
1. On your desktop go To: "Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsof Excel
2. In Excel go to:"Tools #> Options #> General" Tab.
3. De-select the tick-box "Ignore Other Applications"
In order to de-select the "Portection from Macro Viruses"
1. In Excel go to:"Tools -> Macro -> Security"
2. Set the security level to "Medium".
For Microsoft Office97:
1. In Excel go to: "Tools #> Options #> General" tab.
2. De-select the tick-box "Protection from Macro Viruses".
Wish the above information is useful for you.

It sounds like the file AutoOpen.xls file is not in the Path to Excel as defined in General Settings/Paths. I have noticed it occasionally disappears! If it isn't there then you will need to locate another copy and replace it.

David

If you use Excel 2007, the security setting will be different. Search in the forum, you can find that setting.
Thanks,
Gordon
