comparison between sap SEM BCS and OutlookSoft and Cartesis

will someone please assist me regarding

COMPARISION between SEM BCS and OUTLOOKSOFT and CARTESIS

IMPLEMENTATION EFFORT for all these 3

i do need to do some analysis taking these 3

i do appreicated someone help me with introduction of these 3 and some material links will be helpful too.

i got some more questions, as m absolutely new to this outlooksoft and cartesis

will u plz enlight me with,

is outlooksoft and cartesis are the product of SAP?

if not, then belongs which company?

and both outlooksoft and cartesis will do the same job as SAP BCS?

where and for what outlooksoft and cartesis used for?

ur inputs will be appreciated

As mentioned talk to your SAP account manager

Your company is not goign to spend £2-4 million on a project without them getting involved

Cartesis is the Business Objects tool

There are similarities between this tool and Outlooksoft in both consolidation and planning

SAP BCS is the BW verison of the old EC-CS module in R3 and is used for consoldiation

There is a up to date roadmap for these products - and anybody who knows about it and has seen it will not discuss them here because we are all on non disclosure agreements.

outlooksoft and cartesis both are the product of SAP now

yes bot the products are for same purpose and does same job like planning, consolidation, forecasting, budgeting, dashboards, predictive analytics and reporting

From consolidation function part, BCS is much more powerful than outlooksoft, and there are lots of huge clients using it.

But, sometimes consolidation in some company is not so complicate, then BPC is also a good choice.

If you already have a BW system, the BCS could be installed as an addon.

BTW: BCS will be supported till 2013, same as BPC. SAP has no plan for 5 years later yet.

I strongly advise you to contact your SAP account manager and ask them (free of charge) of course to send you the pre sales consultants with the latest SAP strategy in this area

(and yes it has changed since the ppts we have seen in March)
