Validation based on Taxanomy attribute

I have main table named Business Partner which is having a Taxonomy lookup (taxonomy) field named Categories_Gender which uses the Taxonomy table Categories which has two fields Name and Code. The Taxonomy table Categories has three value sets.

Name Value

Person 0

Organization 1

Group 2

Now Person has an linked attribute Gender which has three values 0 for male,1 for female,2 unknown and 3 Unborn.

Now, I am populating these 0,1,2 and 3 values in main table .

Now I have to validate if value is 3 then Future Date Of Birth is possible.

Date Of Birth is a field in main table.

I can do it with flat table field but it is not possible for Text attributes for Taxonomy.

Hi Kaushik,

I have understood your structure.

Please perform the following steps:

1. Create a validation named Category

2. Add a Branch Value by right clicking on validation Category and select Software Professional. You will find a new validation named Category <Software Professional> created under validation tab.

3. Select the validation Category <Software Professional> and write the expression as

IS_NOT_NULL (Gender) and Gender = "2"

4. Execute the validation category

Note: You need to select Gender and "2" from the list Attributes and Text Values respectively.
