Hi guys,
I cant login to the portal just now. I dont know what I changed or what my co-administrators changed in the visual admin or wherever but when we login any user now, the screen just blinks and its still on the same page. Please give advice. Thanks.
Hi, i was able to login already by recreating the tickets in the keystore.
also, by changing the flags in the security provider. Thanks

on the last part it says something like
"Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE security role"
could this be connected to the fact that I am toying around with the security provide field in the visual admin? particularly the ticket and evaluate assertion ticket?

Hi,
Try checking the security log at
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/system
file will named something like security_00.0.log

Hi Sandeep,
we are not using FQDN even from before but only http://servername:port/irj/portal
I am also planning to change this to an FQDN so that we can integrate the BI system to the portal next time.
But even without using FQDN, We can login to the portal before, Its just now that it wont work.

still wont work. any user that I try to login, the login screen just blinks. Do you have an idea of what keyword I will use to search in the forums? Maybe this is a known issue already.

Ryan,
Check for the entry in the host file and ensure you are logging into the portal using the FQDN.
Good Luck.

Hi, Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately my server0 is up and running. As well as all the other j2ee processes. All nodes in the sapmmc is green. And yes, I have the default login page. What happens is when i enter a username and password and press enter, the screen just blinks and I still have the login page.
