Dear,

You need to define a shift in OP4A - define new grouping

click on New entries...let us say 99, give some text

Select 99 and double click on shift definition

click on new entry

shift - 1, text - first shift, start date-010108, end date - 31129999, start=07:00:00, finish-15:00:00

shift - 2, text - second shift, start date-010108, end date - 31129999, start=15:00:00, finish-23:00:00

shift - 3, text -Generalshift, start date-010108, end date - 31129999, start=08:30:00, finish-16:30:00

Double click on shift Sequence

Seq-1shift-1,des-shift-1,day1-1,day2-1,day3-1,day4-1,day5-1,day6-1,day7-1

Seq-1shift-2,des-shift-2,day1-2,day2-2,day3-2,day4-2,day5-2,day6-2,day7-2

Seq-1shift-3,des-shift-3,day1-3,day2-3,day3-3,day4-3,day5-3.(hope only 5 days working for General shift)

save this.

In work center change transaction capacity view

assign this grouping no 99.

Enter active version = 1

Click on interval and shift push button (left top)

follow the menu path Edit>insert>insert interval

enter valid from and valid from field enter shift sequence and remove the data if there in any other filed and click on ENTER. all the days in week are defaulted with the shift seq you defined.

Hope it is clear, or come back

Hi,

Shift sequence is used to define the specific working pattern. i.e weekly holidays, no. of shift and no. of working hours of each shift.

work center capacity is calculted from its working hours defined in the capacity header of details.

SPRO> PRODUCTION> BASIC DATA--> WORK CENTER > CAPACITY PLANNING> AVAILABLE CAPACITY --> DEFINE SHIFT SEQUENCE (OP4A)

You can define the following std settings in the shift sequences:

1) grouping key

2) shift sequences

3) shift definition

4) work break schedules

In OP4A first we need to define the grouping Key ex 55.

1) For this Grouping Key we need to define the work break schedule

ie with in a shift from when to when are the break times.

Tea Break 1 -> from 7.00 am-> 7.20 am

Lunch Break -> from 10.45am-> 11.15am

Tea Break 2 ---> from 1.20pm -

>1.30pm

2. For this Grouping key we define the shift defintion.

ie start time/ end time and validity.

3.Then we define the shift sequences ie how the shifts

follow one another on daily basis.

4.We need to define this grouping key in the workcenter

capacity tab page.

NOTE:

You are definig the available capacity in the Capacity header ie start time / end time/ and break time.

Where as via GROUPING KEY you are definig how many breaks are there in shift/shift definition/shift sequences.

Ashok
