rfc fm vs . webservice

what is the advantage and disadvantage of Rfc vs. Webservice.

Webservice is quicker and easier to develop and is a recognised standard across IT.

RFC has better performance once you've developed it.

i little bit confused becouse i work a lot on building fm (rfc) and i now that i can turn them to webservice ,

there is a way to build in abap web service without use Fm ?

There's plenty of information and blogs around that tell you abuot webservices in ABAP. Whether you use a function module or not depends on your version. On a 7.0 system, I've consumed a webservice using classes. All quite simple through SE80.
