Make default value in Material MAster

hi experts,

I want to make a default value to a particular field in the material master, example The period indicator in the MRP@2 view as "P"

Please tell the detail solution

a default is only possible with a MRP profile.

In transaction MMD1 you can create a MRP profile. You first select the fields you want include to the profile, then you define the values for this fields.

When creating a material master with MM01 you have to enter the MRP Profile on the organisation pop-up.

Alternative you can create the material master with reference to an existing material master and the value will be copied over from the reference material.

Hi

You may want to create a screen variant for MM01 / MM02 in transaction SHD0. You have the option to make the field display only with content 1.e. = P.

Hi,

Use the mass mtc t code MM 17 and change the required field value for a number of materials .Also the creating a MRP profile in MMD1 and assigning it to a number of materials will also help
