Question Regarding Transaction for Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,

I am creating transactions for web dynpro ABAP applications.

First do we need basis authorizations to run such a transaction?

I have two more questions, why we make it a parameter transaction with Default value WDYID?

Why do we have to include the STARTMODE in Default Values?

Hi,

No need to take Basis authorizations to create a tcode to Web Dynpro application.

To create a TCODE to application you have to choose any one of transaction type.Web dynpro is not type of report,OO(or) dialog transaction these all are attached with R/3.So we are using Parameter transaction.

WDYID is the transaction type for Web Dynpro application.

Stratmode can be GUI or browser that means you can open the application in GUI or in browser.
