How can we use the material discription field in PO, insted of material code

At present its come gray.

hi,

SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing --> PO --> Define screen layout --> See in it for doc type, make it optional....

Hi,

In screenlayout of Purchase order and select the field selection key of your document type( like NBF) .Here find the Material description and change it from display to option/required and save.This will enable to enter material description for the items without mmr.
