Profit Cneter Issue

We have two companies running in one single client. The two companies are seperated by the company code.

One company (company X) got 4 profit centers and the other (company Y) got only 1 profit center.

In company Y we are getting an error message saying "In this perticular controlling area Profit Center 10000 does not exists for 18.09.2008"..We do not have that perticular profit center in neither of these companies nor in this client.

Why is this issue comming up and how to sort this issue

Hi, We do not have that a 10000 profit center creaed anywhere. In the transaction we have used the corret profit center ADN the correct profit center was assign to the cost center master data

Actully the data was uploaded through one interface and it has hit the correct cost center. When the payment was done it has hit the dummy profit center. (there was no place for the user to specify the profit center not the cost center.) When the clearing was done, we get this error message with an unknown profit center.

We entered only once the correct profit center as the time of data upload..

Hi

SAP also is trying to tell you the same thing!! That is the profit center does not exist. Please check you data entry. If you are manually giving the profit center in you tcode for entry, you need to change it. If it is coming from a cost center, check the cost center master data. It may be wrong there(KS02)
