Hi..

Dynamic credit check: Distance to credit horizon

Specifies the credit horizon for a dynamic credit check.

Procedure

Enter the number that defines the credit horizon. The number works in conjunction with the period you specify. You can specify periods in days, weeks, or months.

Example

You specify a horizon of 4 M (months). For the purposes of evaluating credit, the system ignores all open orders that are due for delivery beyond the four month horizon you specified.

So there is no question of expiring horizon period. If you have given horizon as 1 week say.

You set credit limit as 100 Rs.

Your 1'st order value is 150 Rs. and delivery due date is after horizon period say 10 days from order creation. This time your order will be saved without credit block.

If delivery date was within 2 days then your order will be blocked for credit.

Hope this clears your doubt

Hi there,

Horizon is used if we want to calculate the open items of the sales order within that period.

For eg if we define 100 days, system will check for open items within the 100 days.

If horizion is not maintained, by default system will take till the current date.

Hi,

Horizon if set will consider all the open sales values when calculating the credit limit and if not maintained system will consider the current date.

Hi,

Horizon will be active only if you maintain dynamic credit check...

Static credit check doesn't have any time limitation,if the customer has exeeded the credit limit but coming again asking for items for which he needs the delivery only after 2 months.

In this case the order cannot be created.

Dynamic credit chack has an attached time period i.e time horizon,we can fix time horrizon.say for example we fix the time horizon of 2 months.in this case if the customer comes for sales order for which he needs the delivery after 2 months, now the sales order can be still created, since we have a time horizon of 2 months.

Hope this will help you...

Hi,

Thx for replyin.

2 more doubts

1. when can we use update group 00018

2. suppose horizon is 1 month

1 so created today (25/9/09) --delidate (30/9/09)

2 so created today (25/9/09) --delidate cust requestedin schedule line (25/11/09) -- but due to some reason we do a early delivery on (20/10/09) -by changing actual pgi date in delivery.

3.so created today (25/9/09) --delidate (30/11/09)

pl explain in above 3 case which allwil be considered for credit check.

Delivery date - which system will consider -actual gooda issue date or deliveryd ate in schedule line in sales order.
