Selected Set Assign to Class Characteristics

Hi.

How do i can assign the selected sets to Class Characteristics. I want to transfer the result from MIC to Batch Characteristics.

Hi Vishal,

- Run trx CT04, enter the CHARACTERISTIC,

- Click on the "VALUES" tab.

- Now click on the "Other Value Check" butoon.

- A small screen will pop up, where you need to select the radio button "Catalog Char.".

- Now you will be able to assign the Selected set to the characteristic.

But Catalog Char. is a gray field how i can move to change it.

Check what is the "Data Type" for you r characteristic?

It should be "CHAR: Character Format" ideally.

there is no any relation with data type,

you need to check wethere there should be any transaction variant or any Authorization role, i think so.

Hi Vishal,

Your characteristic must have been used, Hence it is not allowing such so.

Now you have two options,

1

Create a fresh Characteristic to meet your requirement.

2

Delete the assignment of this characteristic from all the Classes where it is assigned. Then that "Catalog Char" radio button will become operable.

You can check the result for the Characteristic in,

MSC2/3N

MSC5N

BMBC

etc etc

I have check in alll t codes, am not found any result which i put in QA32. here i see all charact. value which are in selected sets, their is no specific value which is put in Result recoding.

Hi Vishal,

I think you have forgotten to attach the Characteristic to the Batch Class.

You need to assign the Characteristic to a Batch class

And

This batch class must be assigned to the material master in Classification view, Class type 023.

One more thing,,,,,,,,,

I think after you complete the assignment to of the Characteristic to Class and The batch Class to material will also not work for the existing data. It will start migrating for any batch you perform RR after completing the assignment.

So first perform the Assignment of Characteristic to Batch Class and Assigne this batch class to Material.

Then test with the fresh data (inspection lot / batch) it will work from now onwards,

Please help regarding this issue...i have defined selected set in spro but its not reflecting in Usage decision...why is it?

I can see the selected set in IMG...

HI

there is option to enter the selected set for the class charectristic

you need to go t- CT04 t-code

enter the name of char and click on values tab and clcik on other value button, then a small screen comes with 4 parameters in that last one CATALOG CHAR radio buton you need selct.
