Best way to provide Language selection

Im a newb at Xcelsius 2008, and was wondering what the best way would be to provide a Language selector on a dashboard? The idea is we have a couple of languages the user can select from, be it in a combo box or whatever, and the dashboard switches to the desired language.

Hi Kurt,

It really would be up to your personal preference. You could use any of the selector components. Your choice of selector would be dictated by the desired look and feel of the dashboard or what information is needed to be passed to the spreadsheet.

You should be aware that dashboards do not inherently have multiple languages built into them. In order to do what you describe, you would need to either create alot of logic in your spreadsheet or build one version of each component in each of the desired languages; and then use dynamic visibility to display the components based upon the language selection. This could get very complex depending on your dashboard. The only other way I can think to have a multi language dashboard would be if you were connecting to a live database and the language selection was passed as a parameter in the data connection.
