hi legends,
can anybody tell about org. key
at wht level we have to assign
Hi rajesham,
In PFCG transaction, when you're maintaining the roles, the only criteria you can use from personnel HR master data are personnel area, employee group, employee subgroup & organizational key. Organizational key is a custom field filled by one or concatenation of more than one field from 0001 info type. Thus if, say, you wanna do an authorization based on organizational unit, then you need to assign organizational unit to organizational key field (thru customization : SPRO: PM->PA->ORG Data-> Org Assignment -> Set up org key) & will be giving the roles based on organizational units (e.g. Training Manager role will have access to all departments training info while Marketing manager will have access to only his/her departments info)

by taking one field from enterprose structure and one from personnel structure we create org key.i think it is used for authorisations.
