Should FBB1 affect CO-CCA?

Former Member

In general, all cost related postings from FI should hit Cost Centre Accounting, and visa versa.

If a 'Post foreign currency valuation' (FBB1) is done, and expense accounts are valuated in group currency/CO Area currency only, these trigger FI>CO update.

The question is that the valuation stems from FI currency treatment which is different from CO currency treatment. Should FBB1 hit CO?

Appreciate any opinions on this topic

Many Thanks in advance!

Hello

FI currency treatment which is different from CO currency treatment...what difference do you make?

In short, CO (with certain exceptions) is a mirror if FI, hence revaluations will simultaneously be posted to CO in addition to FI.

My advice is not to play with currencies & its valuations. If any one looking for challenge in this regard, lots of functionalities have been provided via currency type:

u2022 11 u2013 Local currency with (for) group valuation,

u2022 12 u2013 Local currency with (for) profit centre valuation,

u2022 31 - Group currency with (for) group valuation,

u2022 32 u2013 Group currency with (for) profit centre valuation.

I think either one in addition to currency codes 10 and 30 provides enough to enjoy SAP.

Hence enjoy SAP!

Thanks for this.

If you revalue expense accounts at 2002 rate in FI and CO uses M rate, then the question is should a 2002 FI revaluation flow through to CO and disrupt CO balancing for a FI specifc valuation.

Would you agree?

Many Thanks in Advance.
