We have custom ABAP programs that generate output of their report into MS office or Open Office. THese programs will be linked to SAP HTML GUI iviews from Portal. Before we decide which software to use, I need to know how both of them integrates with Portal and if Portal supports both? (we're on EP 7.0 SP15). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
The requirement is that there's a button on a form for the user to click, which would then open MS office/OO application and display the results in it.
Would the user be presented to download the office file or would it open directly in the browser. As far as MS Office documents are concerned, they can be rendered in the browser.
What kind of integration / support are you looking at?
