Canada Year End Reporting (T4/T4A)

Hi all,

I am trying to provide produce a T4/T4A file (Canadian Payroll) to send to an external print company. I have looked at using the "Print Outsourcing" feature of the Year End Reporting tool to create such a file. It looks like this tool produces a fixed field length flat file. Does anybody know the what the layout of this file is, meaning what field is where and what is the length of each field.

If someone has already looked at these standard SAP output files, I'm hoping you can help me out.

We don't do outsourcing, but have you looked if the XML file required by Service Canada (Mag Media) would be acceptable by your external printer?

P.S. to NDUMMA : It's the type of revenue that will define if it's a T4 or T4A, and the country of residence if it's a T4A-nr.

How do I configure T4 and T4A. Is there a way to differentiate that employees who be reported on T4A and T4.
