Limit on number of SRM-MDM repositories

I am doing sizing exercises for a client who currently has over 20 catalogs, and who over the next 5 years could scale up to hundreds of catalogs across the world. They are all relatively small (~1000 items). Is there any limit to the number of catalogs (repositories) in the SRM-MDM system?

I think there is no limit. DB side may have limit but it is quite big number.
