I recently purchase and tried to install Crstal Rpeorts XI on a Windows 2003 server. It will not run. This server is also a Terminal Server.
Hi Keith,
When installing Crystal Reports, ensure you are log on your computer as the local administrator, have no other software runing, then install Crystal Reports. This will ensure you are not facing rights issues, or conflict during the installation with another software like an Anti-Virus software.
If it still doen't work, then it could be a media, a network issue, to avoid this, I will suggest to:
- Copy the installation CD or files from the network driver to your local hard drive and perform the installation
Another suggestion will be to install Crystal Reports on a different computer to verify if it's an issue specific with this computer.
Also, verify in the supported platform document found on Crystal Reports XI cd if it was tested in the specific environment you are using. ( Terminal Server )
Finally, if you are still experiencing an issue installing Crystal Reports, provide a description of when the issue happen, with the error message, and someone who might have experience this issue might be able to provide you with further suggestions.
