as a support consultant. please explain about the different testing in MM module. is it so that only that heirarchy people are supposed to perform testing. does a support consultant need to create unit test report. please help me?
HI
All this testing scenarios depends on how your support model is.
Based on TT from the user ,assume your job will start
if you are a support consultant making changes
in Dev or Quality.
It is your responsibility to test and fix the problem and carry out unit, integration tests.
if required you can ask the user also to test and confirm.
many a time users will not have access to dev and quality.
so you will be the owner to do all kinds of testing on system
and send the test results , screen shots to users to verify ,
if they are ok
then you move the changes to production.
in production user will carry out their day to day processes
if they are ok, then they confirm you to close the TT.

Hi,
If you are support consultant you may also need to do testing
In the case of error or problems you need to replicate the same scenario in test client and test where the problem is,secondly if there are new developments being done then also you need to test those before being transported to Production client.
Not able to understand the following question from you
"is it so that only that heirarchy people are supposed to perform testing"
Hope its clear
