Hello Gurus,
I have 2 questions:
1. Can someone inform me where's the configuration in SAP ECM where, if the object does not exist I cannot add the same to ECR/ECO. I dont want to allow any addition of object in ECR if it does not exist. Currently it is giving me only a warning message.
2. I want that if a Material is added under a ECR-ECO and if ECR is converted to ECO, than when I change the material using MM02, it should not let me change the Material without the ECO number. Where can I find this config.
Can someone help me with these 2 configs.
Thanks in advance.
Sachin
Hello Sachin
Question 1 . I think the warning you are receiving is CC081 ? Unfortuantely their isnt
any way to customize this to prevent the adding of an object that doesnt exist. Only
a modification could change this to a error.
IN ECM you have the possiblity to create planned OMR, which means that
you create an OMR for a change object (material, BOM, routing, documents)
that does not yet exist, and this must not be forbidden via processing an error message.
Question 2 .
If you want to make the change number field required in MM01/MM02 when entering
a material you could create a transaction variant and set the field as obligatory but
it isnt possible otherwise to make the field mandatory for a change number or ECO
Hopefully that helps
Enda.
