Create Delivery (VL01N) - Set Delivery Type based on Item category

Is there a way to override the default delivery type for an sales order based on the line item category.

The manual way works good. I tried some BADI and exits but none of them seem to be triggering befor the error.

Hello Raja ,

i think u can do it thru routines, check Tcode VOFM , for more info , plz ask ur Functional pplz to explain & find out which routine u need to use.
