Just go through help.sap.com. which is a bible for MDM.

for the latest you can move to information managment-MDM

in the sdn.

and for software n all you can move to service market place.

Hi Netaji,

MDM is used for maintaining synchronized master data in Hetrogeneous landscape. It can also be used to enrich the master data.

Three core MDM IT scenarios are:

1. Consolidation

2. Harmonization

3. Central Master Data Management.

MDM has basically 4 components:

1. Console.

2. Import Manager

3. Data Manager

4. Syndicator
