delete material master

Hey focks,

Can any one explain me how to delete a material frm material master permanently. We have set the deletion flag for that material. But client dont want to see that material to available in material master table also.

Please help me in this regard.

Hi

After putting deletion flag in Material than go for archiving in MM71 .Here create a variant and than archive the material.

This will be deleted and will not be dispalyed again.

I tryed to arcieve in mm71. but aftr archieving also material master record is coming in mm02.

it is not advisible to delete a Material master

set the material master with DF at client level in MM06 and archive them.

if it is a test system , try using

MMDE -- first test run and then try for ur material.

We dont want to delete all the materials. But we need to delete only one material.
