Document not found. Excise posting not done or document is archived

Hi all,

I have been trying to post the excise invoice for depot sales (Imports) using J1IJ, Its giving

error message as shown below.

Document not found. Excise posting not done or document is archived.

Message no. 8I 301

*Diagnosis*

The entered document number could not be found either because it is not

correct or the document has been archived

*Procedure*

Please check the entered document number

Please give me required inputs.

Hi,

You must be selecting the wrong document for posting.Kindly check whether you are posting a Delivery or Material document.

i got an answer for this.

when we save the excise invoice document automatically it will be posted.
