Formulas for Work Center Capacities

Hi PM Experts,

Can someone explain me the whole process of defining formulas for Work Centers in relation to capacity calculation?

What I basically want to do is provide the work center avaible capacity ( 8 hours per day with 4 persons) and the system to show to what extent the capacitiy is utilized, both in text and graphical form. For this I'm using PM Orders with the above work center in the operations and I'll be scheduling the orders.

Standard values are planned values for the execution of an operation and are maintained in the operation -SAP00 used generally in PM (based on requiremnt)

Capacities in work centers are distinguished by capacity categories Capacity categories are for example:

Machine capacity

Personnel capacity

IN OIZ2 we define Standard valur key

then

OP17 -defining formula parematers SAP_07

(generally we define capacity forumla SAP008

so for this we need to define formula parematers)

and this parameter i sdefind in the OP21 in formla.

so when you given the 8 hours and 4 persons - the sytem caliculates 8*4 = 32.

so teh vailable capacity is 32 hrs.

when a work comes for 98 hrs you finish this in 3hrs.

thsi is how system works

Dear Deepal,

If your work center capacity 8 hours and there are 4 persons then total capacity at your work center is 32 hours if your capacity utilization is 100%.

If you using this work center in order then total capacity of this work center in a day is 32 hours.

Hi,

The system uses standard values as parameters with origin "standard value" in formulas to calculate execution time, capacity requirements and costs. in Basic Data tab of work center.

SAP008 standard Formula used to determine the capacity requirements for setup.in Capacities tab.

SAP008: standard processing formala in capactities tab.

You need to click capacity header icon in capacities tab in that we need to give start, finish time, length of breaks,Capacity Utilization in percentage and number of individual Cap.

System calculates the operating time and Capacity.

Standard SAP as predefined formulas for calculating the work center capacity.

In standard settings

Basic data tab - maintain the standard key as "SAP0"

In capacity Tab

Capacity category - Person

Other formula - SAP008 (Actual Work)

In capacity header

Maintain the hours and capacity you require

In scheduling tab

Maintain other formala as - SAP004

Work Dimension - Time

Unit - Hrs

In costing sheet

Maintain Cost center

Activity type and SAP008
