Item categoty N

Hi PP gurus..

I've this problem: is it possible in customizing setting the item category N WITHOUT the direct procurement, so without the borning of purchase request in planning?

Or is it necessary (if possible) to create a new item category (i.e. copying N category)?

I did not get what do you want to do.

You can create new item category in OS13

excuse me for my english...

I explain:

if a component in a Bom is N as item category, after running of Mrp of end-item it will create purchase request for "N" component, 'cause they're non-stock component..

Is it possible in customizing modify this item category N (or create a new item category), to NOT CREATE purchase request when Mrp of end-item run?

I hope if it is a non stock item(material type and not BOM item N), when you create order, then system will create PR and not during MRP run.
