10 Inspection Type

HI friends I am using 10 inspection type.

I have a problem, I am using this inspection at the time of Pre dispatch.

For that I have to maintain Customer Quality info record.

Now I have around 60000 Finished Materials and around 13000 Customers.

So a Combination of 60000*13000 Customer Quality Info record has to be created.

This require a lot of labour.

Is there any user exit or any way so that I can avoid creating Customer Quality Info record.

My Inspection is fixed before Dispatch for all materials.

Thanx in advance,

Hi Praveen,

If you have to create inspection lot complusoury for all the delivery, Take help of QM customizing.

Customize Quality management as follows:

Quality Mangement -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection at Shipping

Assign Inspection lot to the Delivery Type.

E.g. LF- 10

Then assign Delivery Category ( Usage - in Sales Order) to Ispection Plan Origin - Delivery Cat Insp. Type

10 - (Blank) 10

This will resolve your issue.

I think you can go for mass upload program..as I am aware there is no user exit for this.

You really only have to create the SD records if you want to prevent a type 10 inspection.

If you activate the type 10 inspection, it will be on for all materials and customers regardless of the QM in SD record. What often happens though is clients only want the to inspect certain customer deliveries, not every instance of shipping. As a result, they create QM in SD records to set the inspection as "by customer" and as such, an inspection lot is not created.

But if you are shipping a material such as a bulk chemcial that ships by tank truck and needs an inspection everytime before it leaves the terminal, all you need to do is activate the type 10 inspection for the material and no QM in SD records are required.
