mail sending from background

hi,

We are using the Function Module SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send emails from a Job running in background but it is not sending.

We have used this in foreground and its working fine but is this FM capable of sending mails from background Job?

can any one help ..?

Hi,

It will work in the background, check that the user who is running the background job has an email address in SU01.

Use this function module, u2018SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1u2019.

This works in background.

I guess this will serve the purpose
