Merge 2 Assets

Former Member

Hello,

I was trying to capitalise an asset thru WBS, but there was an issue and the asset was capitalised to 2 different assets as 50% in one asset and 50% in second. In case if I want to merger the two assets, Can I transfer balance from one asset to another and later delete one of the asset(from which the asset was transferred).

I tried that in Emergency/Fix System but I am not able to do that saying that there are values in Depreciation Area.

Please suggest what can be done asap

Hi Jay

Yes you can transfer one asset to another.

You have to use T-code ABUMN.

In transfer to Tab Click on radio button Exisisting Asset and Give the other Asset number.

Hope This solves your problem

Thanks

Hi Sanjeev,

I will like to know how can I adjust the Value Adjustment in the asset. There is still ordinary depn which is not settled.

Hi,

if there is ordinary depreciation left then you should control and maybe change your period control method for transfers, which are assigned to the depreciation key.
