Wrong Path for RRMX transaction (Bex)

Former Member

Dear All,

I've just installed the SAP GUI 7.10 with Patch 09 and with BI AddOn Patch 7 for GUI 7.10

When I launch the Bex Analyser from the Windows Start Menu it works (I'm obliged to launch first the Bex 3.5 before launching the 7.0 !!! but it's not the subject).

But when I try to use the RRMX transaction, it seems that SAP is looking for the file "SAPBEX0.XLA" in the directory "C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\BW" although the file is located in the directory "C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\SAP Shared\BW".

Does anyone have an idea on how to change this path in SAP ?

Thanks in advance

How is your IMG configured? Confirm it is set so that RRMX launches BEx 7.0 rather than 3.5.

SAP Netweaver ==> Business Intelligence ==> Settings for Reporting and Analysis ==>General Settings for Reporting and Analysis ==> Set BEx Analyzer Version

Or if you are just testing, you may want to leave IMG set at 3.5 and just customize the settings for just you by adding RRMX_VERSION = 70 in your user profile.

Dear both,

thanks for your help but :

WernerS : I've also installed the 3.x version

Pizzaman : I confirm that the setting is good. Just to test, I tried all the options, but I always have the same error.

I also tried with parameter RRMX_VERSION "70" but without result.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi,

There are two parameters in RS_FRONTEND_INIT :

VER_MIN_ANA : min revision which you can open BexAnalyzer

VER_ACT_ANA : actual revision which is better for opening BexAnalyser

You can find the revision level in your BexAnalyzer installation info.

My current version is 1352 for exemple.

There is a note for some problem with the flag VER_MIN_ANA : 1280620

Good luck.

I think it's an error in the method GET_EXCEL_OLE_ADDIN

Hi Duarte,

you also have to install BEx 3.x. If you don't do that, you'll have exactly the problem you describe.

After some tests, I tried to launch RRMX with the Bex Analyzer already launched and the message changed :

I have this one (thanks to tne note 1170714):

RSR_LAUNCH_EXCEL 107:

"Analyzer requires Version 140. Version 1267 is installed."

I will maybe send a message to SAP, cause it seems to be an error ...
