Posting against cost center and internal order.

Hello,

I need to know if it's corect to post on one expence account against a cost center and an internal order in one posting. I don't know if it is corect to have in a single posting on an expence account both of these CO items.

Hi

You can post to both cost center and Internal order. However based on what type of an order you are posting to, one of the postings will be statistical in nature. You will not be able to do any allocation or distribution or settlement of these costs.

If the order is real

Order - real posting

Cost center - statistical posting

If the order is not real

Order - statistical posting

Cost center - real posting

You can post one expense against a cost center and an internal order. Suppose you are maintaining a cost center for all advertisement expenses and you have one order for a particular promotal activity. At this times, any expense you paid you need to post against both cost center and internal order.
