Hi Folks,
I have a doubt in Client Administration. When do I use the following transaction codes:
SCC7 - Client Import
SCC8 - Client Export
SCC9 - Remote Client Copy
SCCL - Local Client Copy
The question which is raised to me is
1. When do I use SCC7 & SCC8?
2. When do I use SCCL & SCC9?
3. When doing Quality Refresh, which option I should go and why?
Hi,
Local client copy, transaction SCCL. It's the function for copying clients within the same SAP system.
Remote client copy, transaction SCC9. It's the function for copying clients among different but connected SAP systems.
Client export, transaction SCC8.
Postprocess import, transaction SCC7.

Suman

Hi ken,
Your answers
1. When do I use SCC7 & SCC8?
Ans - scc8 for client export using transport request and scc7 to do client import by the transport request that created by scc8.This will be done between two different systems.
2. When do I use SCCL & SCC9?
SCCL - local client copy when copying client in the same system say in development system from client 000 to client 100
scc9 - remote client copy between different systems over network using rfc connection say coping client fron dev 100 to quality 100
3. When doing Quality Refresh, which option I should go and why?
go for client transport using scc8
