Automatic refresh on load?

Hello,

I have saved a crystal report on my local machine. The data for this report comes from some DB table. Now when I save an reopen the report, I get the data that was previously stored, and I need to click on refresh to get the updated data.

Is there a way to automatically refresh data on opening of the report file?

Resolution:

The report appears on the 'Preview tab' with old data because the 'Save Data with Report' option is selected on the 'File' menu.

To design the report so the 'Preview' tab always displays refreshed data when the report is opened, deselect the 'Save Data with Report' option on the 'File' menu.

You can also manually refresh the data by clicking the 'Refresh' button on the toolbar.
