UPDATE MATERIL MASTER

Dear all,

I have material say ABC-1 in X Production Plant and extented this material in Y depot.In production plant this material has routing and bom and in depot it don't have.I have updated material master by CA97 in production plant.Now i want to update material master in Y depot also.Is it possible or not?

Plz let me know as early as possible.

Hi KK,

CA97 is to update material master with routing timings.this is something related to transferring Scheduling Results to a Material Master Record.

You cant update using CA97 in depot

In your case as it is a depot,there is no routing or BOM.To update material master you can use MASS(transaction code) transaction with object type BUS1001 (materials-industry) and select related table or fields and update.

Beat way First update the material master X in production plant by scheduling the routing and then extented this material in Y depot.

Not possible, Routing is maintained at the Plant level....and I guess your depo is one other Plant...
