Hi all,
We have installed was6.40 java+abap. While startup, despatcher instance is not starting. Iam not able to find out why is this happening. Pls let me know where can i identify the root cause of the problem like logs etc.

Hi Sujesh,
Check the following logs :
as suggested previously check dev_disp then look into dev_w0 and the other work process logs.
if you can provide the exact error mentioned in the logs we might be able to solve it.

Sujesh: Check the logs at following location
/usr/sap/DV1/DVEBMGS00/work (substitute your SID instead of DV1)
The two log files you can check for any error messages are
dev_disp --> This is the developer trace for dispatcher.
sapstart.log --> Logs system start problems.
