Export to PDF wrong font

Former Member

I have a web site that creates 2 reports using the Garamond font. One is size 12, the other is size 14.

When I export on my development machine, the PDF has the correct fonts in it (embedded subset), however, when I move onto my QA machine, one of the Exported PDFs has Arial, and the other has TNR. I checked, and the fonts are installed on the server.

Any suggestions?

What is the version of your Crystal Reports?

Are you running your reports through some custom application .Net or java?

Im using the CR 2008 Redist package

CR Engine files are 10.5.0.1943 on both QA and DEV

CRXF_PDF.dll are 10.5.0.1943 on both QA and DEV

The DEV machine has Acrobat Reader installed, and the server has no Acrobat reader installed.

Try with installing acrobat on server.

We need to do comparison of the dlls on both machines where it is working fine with where we are having issue download the modules utility from here:

Run your app. Leave the issue on the screen and start modules. Go to the File menu and select New List -> memory modules. Save this file as client.mdl. Repeat the above on your dev computer, save the file as dev. Then compare the two mdls. You can do this manually, or modules has a compare feature under the Module menu.

This is Crystal Report designer forum.
